Today I organized Startup Communities event, a one-day event where Syrian entrepreneurs, social enterprises, and small businesses and organizations gathering to share ideas, and collaborate.
Over 30 Syrians organizations joined us in Startup Communities: Building an Entrepreneurial Ecosystem. Together, we discussed what we could each do to support entrepreneurship for Syrian.
This event was to bring together these entrepreneurs and the community to brainstorm ideas on creating a better environment for startups to grow and ultimately building an entrepreneurial ecosystem that meets the needs of entrepreneurs.
Following the fruitful summit was discussed the next steps that we talked to empower the Syrian entrepreneurial ecosystem.
As organizations and communities grow, leaders emerge and take the initiative to drive the development of the entrepreneurial ecosystem and ultimately its growth. Effective leaders are the key to maintaining a culture driven by an entrepreneurial spirit and embracing the vision of a future startup landscape.
Each ecosystem has its challenges; our aim is to understand those challenges and collectively think of creative and efficient ways to build and sustain the best entrepreneurial community in the region. We are proud to have the Syrian entrepreneurs and organizations support our event from all over the world and to see a great number of startups communities come together to the first summit.
I hope that through this summit, we will create and bring together leaders that uphold our shared vision to keep the entrepreneurial spirit alive.
